Legacy Home Builders was founded after more than five years spent building other people’s homes in Sussex County, long enough to watch the same avoidable things go wrong on job after job. Allowances set deliberately low so a bid would look competitive. Superintendents running six houses at once. Homeowners finding out about a delay from a neighbour rather than a builder.

We built this company around fixing those three things specifically. We take on a limited number of homes at a time, on purpose. We price honestly up front even when it costs us the job. And we would rather have an uncomfortable conversation in week two than an expensive one in month six.

Most of our clients are building the only custom home they will ever build. That is not lost on us. Building homes, building legacies is on our business card because it is the actual standard we hold ourselves to: would we be proud to have our name on this house in thirty years?
